FT WORTH, TX – Leigh Wambsganss, proven conservative candidate for Texas Senate District 9 Special Election, released the following campaign update.

“I announced my candidacy on Friday afternoon June 27. And by Monday evening we had deposited over $350,000 into the campaign account. I think that’s a record for a Texas State Senate campaign.

“In addition to the financial support, I attracted immediate political endorsements from Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, and some of the biggest political names in Tarrant County like Senator Tan Parker, County Judge Tim O’Hare, Sheriff Bill Waybourn, and dozens of other national, state, and local leaders.

“More support, more funds raised, and a faster campaign launch than ever seen in Tarrant County!” Leigh said.

“She could have been cited for speeding,” joked Sheriff Waybourn.

Leigh Wambsganss is a Republican candidate for Texas Senate District 9, the seat being left vacant by the retirement of Senator Kelly Hancock. Governor Abbott has set the date of the Special Election for November 4, 2025. At the present time time, she is running unopposed.
