The Fight For Texas Starts Now
|
I am honored to be your Republican nominee for Senate District 9 (SD9) in the November 3, 2026, General Election. Now, the real work begins. Primary elections can be spirited, but today is about unity. It is time for Republicans across SD9, Tarrant County, and Texas to come together, stand shoulder to shoulder, and focus on what matters most, protecting our values and keeping Texas strong. As I’m sure you have seen in the media. Texas Democrats outvoted Texas Republicans in this Primary Election like never before. We know what is coming. Multiple well-funded leftist organizations have been pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into Texas with one goal: turning our state blue. If Texas burns blue, Republicans lose its forty electoral votes – and with them, any viable path to the White House. They believe division is their advantage and are counting on Republicans to remain fractured. We cannot afford that. Victory demands unity, discipline, and relentless effort. United, we stand for Texas families, secure borders, safe communities, strong schools, and economic freedom through lower taxes and fewer burdens on job creators so every Texan can thrive. Fiscal conservatism brings affordability so working families can pay their bills, buy a home, and put food on the table without constantly worrying about how they’ll make ends meet. Divided, Texas turns blue forcing small businesses into costly union mandates, undermining oil and gas for expensive, unreliable energy, raising taxes, higher cost of living, weakening our electric grid and opening our border back to the dangerous levels of the Biden administration. Since the January 31st special runoff election, I reached out to every Republican voter that didn’t vote in the special election. I have met with hundreds of citizens across twenty-three cities and thirteen school districts in SD9. We are making progress in taking this district back, turning Tarrant County back to red, and keeping Texas conservative. But we need you. Here’s how you can help. Go to www.leighfortexas.com and sign up to host a meet and greet in the summer/fall, donate, volunteer, or request a yard sign. Together, we can keep Texas the number one state to live, work and raise a family. Leigh |
